Center for Legal Help to Community “Civic Defender” exists since 1999. From the day of its creation until now the Center’s main aim is to provide legal help to the community members, contribute to the legal and social protection of those who are in need.

We perform our activities in the following directions:

1) Legal consultations for the underprivileged categories in community;

2) Interest representations of citizens in the court, law enforcement agencies and other state bodies and establishments;

3) Monitoring of legislation to ensure that they do not violate basic rights and freedoms of a human and a citizen;

4) Cooperation with the local authorities in the sphere of:

- human and civil rights;

- development of local self-governing institutions;

5) Implementation of international, all-Ukrainian and regional projects aimed at rights’ protection.

Our organization operates on the basis of free-will, equality, self-governance, independency, legality; in accordance to the Constitution of Ukraine, Ukrainian laws, and Statute of organization.
